Operation Hat Trick Seeks Submissions For The Annual Excellence in Service Awards
Once again Operation Hat Trick will begin the selection process for the annual Operation Hat Trick Excellence in Service Awards. This year, Dot Sheehan, Founder and CEO of OHT, will be thrilled to be presenting these awards at CLC's Seminar in Atlanta this April.
Despite the continued challenges COVID brought to all campus communities across the country, OHT has thankfully been able to continue making donations to support organizations that assist in the recovery of wounded service members and veterans.
Cash awards from OHT on behalf of your institution to your selected charity will once again be awarded to Finalists and a Winner. Last year a total of $95,000 in donations was awarded, and our plan is to add to that total this year! As you can imagine, last year’s donations made a very significant difference to all chosen organizations.
The Operation Hat Trick Excellence in Service Awards are given to those institutions that have successfully done the following:
- Made a commitment to OHT to enhance its visibility thus ultimately being able to help OHT fill more gaps in care for wounded and recovering service members and veterans
- Fully integrated OHT at their institution
- Made OHT part of their campus Bookstore
- Expanded OHT’s reach to other retailers in their community and beyond
- Launched Marketing, Social Media and Promotional campaigns promoting OHT
We hope you will submit your institution's PowerPoint overview showing what has been done to promote OHT to Trey Derrenbacker, Director of Marketing and Licensing, at trey@operationhattrick.org by Friday, February 25. All submissions will be reviewed, and finalists will be announced in late March. Awards will be presented at CLC's Seminar in late April. More details to come.
Please be thinking about the organization in your local area to whom you would like a donation made on behalf of your institution. The organization must fulfill OHT’s mission of supporting the recovery of wounded service members and veterans. I will need that information as soon as you are notified you're a finalist, which will be sometime in late March.
Thank you for your continued support of OHT! This year has been another record year thanks to your participation and commitment. YOU have helped us make a very big difference. OHT has donated more than $2.6 million to organizations since 2014, filling critical but very basic needs for those who are struggling with the effects of battle and service, and we expect to be over $3 million in donations in before the end of our fiscal year. THANK YOU!!!
I look forward to all of your submissions for the Excellence in Service Award
