
Operation Hat Trick (OHT) Makes Donation to the Warrior for Life Fund, in Honor of Fallen Navy SEAL Brian Bourgeois
HAMPTON, N.H., February 9, 2021 – Operation Hat Trick (OHT), an innovative non-profit supporting the recovery of wounded service members and veterans, announced today they have made a donation to the Warrior For Life Fund, and the donation is being made in honor of fallen Navy SEAL Brian Bourgeois.
The donation will be used to assist with veterans coping with PTS, depression and sleep deprivation through therapeutic hockey programs, sled hockey equipment, coaching and teams.
"OHT is honored to make a donation to the Warrior for Life Fund and their many hockey programs that support veterans in need. We do this in memory of Navy SEAL Brian Bourgeois who died tragically in a training accident in December of last year. We honor Brian's dedication to country and his commitment to keep us all safe."
Commanding Officer of SEAL Team EIGHT Brian Bourgeois died in December of last year in a training exercise. Bourgeois graduated in 2001 from the U.S. Naval Academy and was commissioned into the Navy and Naval Special Warfare, where he served for over 20 years.
Commander Bourgeois also received a master's degree in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School and received the Pat Tillman Leadership Award for his class. At the time of his death, he was the Commanding Officer of SEAL Team EIGHT. The team was running a training operation in Norfolk, Virginia when Commander Bourgeois was fatally injured. Commander Bourgeois is survived by his wife and five children, and they are all in the thoughts of everyone at Operation Hat Trick.
