Operation Hat Trick Donates to Iowa’s Johnson County Veterans Affairs
Hampton, NH - Operation Hat Trick is pleased to announce a recent donation to Johnson County Veterans Affairs thanks to a partnership with FRYfest and the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
FRYfest is a one-day “Celebration of all that is Hawkeye” the Friday before the first home football game. Created in 2009 as a collaborative effort between the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, City of Coralville, and University of Iowa Athletics, FRYfest kicks-off the Hawkeye football season. The event is named after one of the greatest Hawkeyes of all time and the man who is responsible for bringing the Tigerhawk to the University of Iowa: Hayden Fry.
According to Dale Arens, the University of Iowa’s Athletics Hall of Fame and Trademark Licensing Director, “The University of Iowa was thrilled to have 47 Brand and Operation Hat Trick involved in the 2015 FRYfest effort to honor our veterans. It is a ‘win/win’ whenever the powerful Hawkeye brand can do anything to assist the veterans locally who have done so much for our nation. We are grateful to 47 Brand and Operation Hat Trick for their vision on giving back to our veterans.”
Gary Boseneiler,Executive Director of the Johnson County Veterans Affairs added, “The Johnson County Veterans Affairs would like to express its gratitude to Operation Hat Trick for supporting veterans of Johnson County.”
Dot Sheehan, President/CEO and Founder of Operation Hat Trick said, “Operation Hat Trick was excited to be part of FRYfest for the first time. With the help of our exclusive headwear and apparel partner, 47 Brand, we were able to outfit volunteers with OHT merchandise and have it for sale at local retail locations during and after the event. Proceeds from the sale of all merchandise went to Johnson County Veterans Affairs to provide assistance to veterans for temporary financial assistance like rent, utilities and food vouchers. Veterans all over the country have great need and OHT is proud to be able to fill some of the “white space.”
OHT generates awareness, support and funding for the recovery of America’s wounded service members and veterans. OHT pursues these goals through the sale of OHT branded merchandise, proceeds of which are distributed to selected organizations supporting the OHT mission.
