Operation Hat Trick Makes Donation to Homes For Our Troops
Hampton,NH - Operation Hat Trick is pleased to announce a recent donation to Homes for Our Troops thanks to a partnership with NARI-the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and Harvey Building Products.
The Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of NARI is a non profit professional association of nearly 200 area businesses in the residential remodeling industry. In addition to connecting and educating members, EM NARI is focused on making an impact in the community. At this year’s 17th annual EM NARI Golf Tournament, NARI member, Harvey Building Products, led fundraising efforts to benefit Homes for Our Troops. Harvey donated Operation Hat trick hats to each player with all proceeds benefitting HFOT. In total, nearly $4,000 was raised. EM NARI Golf Tournament Chairman, Bill Farnsworth of Custom Contracting Inc, noted, "As leaders in the remodeling industry, our members know how important it is to have a safe and functional space to call home. We are pleased to partner with Operation Hat Trick, Homes for Our Troops, and Harvey Building Products to ensure that veterans who have sacrificed for our country have a home that meets their needs.”
According to Dylan Curtis, Community Fundraising Coordinator for Homes for Our Troops, “The Department of Defense estimates that over 1,900 service members have returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan with injuries so severe that they require a specially adapted home. At Homes for Our Troops, our mission is to provide a specially adapted, mortgage-free home to every veteran who meets these criteria, and continue to assist them in rebuilding their lives long after completion of their home. With your contribution, we are one step closer to completing our mission.”
“Operation Hat Trick is honored to partner with NARI and the EM NARI Golf Tournament to make a donation to Homes for Our Troops. Their goal of making it possible for those service members and veterans get into barrier free homes is just what Operation Hat Trick is all about,” says President and CEO of Operation Hat Trick, Dot Sheehan.
