Operation Hat Trick Partners with Project Sanctuary
Operation Hat Trick has is very pleased to announce a recent donation to Project Sanctuary.
Project Sanctuary is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to take military families from battle-ready to family-ready by providing six-day, outdoor, therapeutic retreats in a healing environment and ongoing family support services for two years following each retreat. The program was founded in September 2007 after founder Heather Ehle discovered no organization was helping military families as a whole. Led by veterans and her board of directors, Heather carefully listened to what the military families needed and then structured Project Sanctuary’s programs to meet those needs, pulling from her background as a Registered Nurse to establish an evidence-based program that encompasses spiritual, physical and emotional healing.
“Project Sanctuary is proud to partner with Operation Hat Trick,” said Heather Ehle, Project Sanctuary founder and CEO. “Our shared mission to assist in the recovery of our wounded heroes makes this collaboration especially meaningful. With Operation Hat Trick’s generous support, Project Sanctuary can continue to help our service members – both active duty and veterans – and their families go from battle ready to family ready! We appreciate the opportunity to work with Dot and her team and the OHT network of over 200 universities and professional teams across the country to serve more military families in the years ahead.”
Founder and president of OHT, Dot Sheehan, expresses that “OHT is thrilled to be able to support Project Sanctuary. We know our service men and women will be well taken care of as a result of OHT’s donation”.
OHT generates awareness, support and funding for the recovery of America’s wounded warriors, both active service members and veterans. OHT pursues these goals through the sale of OHT branded merchandise, proceeds of which are distributed to selected organizations that provide direct services to our wounded warriors.
