Akron Aeros Knock Operation Hat Trick Night Out of the Park

Equipped with 144 camo Operation Hat Trick hats, the Akron Aeros, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, held a very successful Operation Hat trick Night during their Military Appreciation game on June 29th, 2013.

The Akron Aeros are one of about 60 Minor League Baseball teams that have adopted Hats 4 Heroes (H4H), in partnership with Operation Hat Trick (OHT), for their 2013 season. The H4H/OHT program originated as an extension of the OHT program.

The Aeros held Operation Hat Trick Night during their Military Appreciation Game against the Altoona Curve. Director of Merchandise for the Aeros, Courtney Campbell, ordered 144 Aeros camo OHT hats, all of which made their debut in the team store on OHT Night.

Campbell reported to OHT Founder and President Dot Sheehan that out of the 144 hats the Aeros “sold about 75% of them in one night.” Campbell was excited to inform Sheehan that “the hats were a HUGE hit.”

If your college, university, team or organization is interested in adopting Operation Hat Trick, please contact Dot Sheehan, Founder and President of Operation Hat Trick, by calling (603) 862-4677 or sending an email to dot.sheehan@unh.edu.
