Founder’s Blog – Holidays Are The Perfect Time To Remember And Give Thanks
Operation Hat Trick would like to wish all a very happy holiday season. We hope you are able to spend it with family and friends. As we all know, there are many who are deployed and spending this holiday away from home. There are also those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our country and they are sorely missed.
Over the Dec 16th weekend,75,000 volunteers laid 245,000 wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery as part of Wreaths Across America-enough wreaths for every grave there. Two of those graves, that of Nate Hardy and Mike Koch, to whom OHT is dedicted, was visited by Mike’s fiancee and her friend. Other friends brought a little Christmas to Nate’s grave.
It’s hard to believe Feb 4 will be the 10th anniversary of Nate’s and Mike’s death. They are terribly missed. OHT will honor them with a commemorative hat that is a fitting tribute to these two Best of the BEST Navy SEALs. Check back to this website in mid January to see where you can purchase yours and/or make a donation to OHT. Remember, we support the recovery of wounded service members and veteran and with your help we are truly making a difference-one at a time. We are extremely proud of the gaps in care we are able to fill.
Today 338 colleges and universities, 70 Minor League Baseball teams,21 NHL teams,15 NBA teams,165 High Schools and over 100 companies have adopted OHT. There are 1.5 million hats on heads worldwide and OHT has 12 licensees offering all kinds of merchandise and products. We are truly a global brand.
So this holiday season there is reason to celebrate with OHT. Thank you for supporting us. We continue to grow in places where we never thought we would be able to go and it is so rewarding to see the difference we are making.
Pleas shop with OHT or consider making a donation. It will be the best purchase/donation you can make-an investment you will never regret.
